When you think of children’s fashion, most people think of Disney printed Tee’s paired with leggings and a pair of sneakers. While this was cool when we were kids, times have changed. Children’s fashion should be fun, whimsical and sometimes over the top! I was so excited when I found out that Betsey Johnson designed a children’s line. I mean she oozes girlish spirit with her fun pig-tails and cartwheel runway finales. This transition to a girls line is natural and I’m surprised it didn’t happen earlier.
Johnson’s Collection will offer sportswear for toddlers through preteens. Each piece will incorporate a punk rock look accented with a girly touch. Betsey’s iconic style shines through her collection from pops of pink to chiffon tutus with playful emoji drawings. These are her actual drawings which make this line so unique. You can grab some of our favorite pieces from Lord & Taylor as well as the Betsey Johnson website.
After shooting we had the chance to visit NYFW to watch Betsey’s show first hand. It was amazing and the best part is that LS can’t stop talking about how sweet she is. Luckily we captured a few shots below. Get inspired by Scout’s look and we hope you love this collection as much as we do!
