Creating A Beautiful Instagram feed

Creating a Beautiful Instagram Feed

I recently started editing my Instagram photos so they could flow better on my IG feed. I wanted to share a few pointers that I use daily to get my photos in sync and showcase a beautiful feed. The rule of thumb is to post your IG photos in groups of threes to create a consistent feed. Think of your feed as a story rather than numerous separate images. When you’re posting a photo, visualize how it will look next to your other images. All your photos should have a consistent theme to tie them together.

Tips to consider:

  • The colors of the latest post should coordinate with the first and third photo.
  • If one photo is detailed heavy, then the latest photo should be clean to balance out the detailed shot.
  • Use VSCO cam to layout all photos and coordinate color scheme with filters

Choosing a theme or style can aid in choosing shoot locations, flat lays or any other elements you would like to add to your feed. Try searching other pages to get you inspired.

Below are examples/pages to get you inspired.

Great post! I never thought to think of the color layout of what I’m posting but I will definitely start applying that technique on my own feed (
