New Year means new you! This is my first post of 2016 and I wanted to dish on a few tips to succeed in the New Year. Many people don’t believe in the law of attraction or just don’t have the discipline to live a positive lifestyle. We all have the tendency to have negative thoughts which produce negative results. Negativity acts as a protective psychological shield, or wall, it limits your possibilities in life.
I found that practicing daily positive affirmations and creating digital vision boards brings amazing results into my life. I have believed in this practice since the first time I read “The Secret” a book published in 2006 by Rhonda Byrne. It is based on the law of attraction and claims that positive thinking can create life-changing results such as increased happiness, health, and wealth. When I first picked up a copy I was hesitant and skeptical because that was my natural reaction. Now, I know a lot of people criticized this book and the New York Times ripped it apart but I had my own opinion about it. I felt that this book was the first of its kind to introduce these concepts to the masses but it did not successfully facilitate action steps making the book feel as if it was just another gimmick. Don’t get me wrong, I would still read the Secret but I understand the practice. What I learned is to speak things into existence so I challenged myself to be positive and live my life with gratitude instead of focusing on what I “didn’t have”.
I’m writing this post because I want to challenge my readers to practice the law of attraction for 28 days in a row. I chose this particular number because anything done consecutively for 28 days forms habit. I want you to read and learn about manifesting your dreams, creating vision boards and reciting daily affirmations.
