It’s that time of year when I get spoiled and wishfully think that I will get everything I always wanted just because I’m an awesome mom (so I like to think). This Mother’s day we teamed up with Barneys New York to skip through their Madison Avenue Flagship store and have the ultimate mother/daughter shopping adventure. Well technically, I had to put a few things back but it was still worth the oohh’s and ahh’s. LS and I typically shop together followed by lunch which is ideal at Barneys since Fred’s is located on the same floor as children’s. In other word’s, why leave Disneyland if you don’t have to?
We spent the day skipping from floor to floor and sharing giggles in our favorite departments. Scout definitely had a little too much fun in cosmetics and shoes! I have to admit, she’s my twin because I felt the same way. I literally wanted to lift my hands up and scream “Weeeeee” as we pranced around each floor. Everything your heart desires in one place can be a little overwhelming! LS knew exactly what she wanted and I wish I could say the same. I pulled a few outfits for her thinking she wouldn’t deny them but I was so wrong. She went with a Val + Max sleeveless dress and a pair of glittertastic Golden Goose sneakers. I took one look and gave her my stamp of approval, as the outfit was perfect.
I went with a Chloe sleeveless dress detailed with floral broderie and a ruffled neckline. The hi-low silhouette was ideal for scouting my way through Barneys. I paired it with a pair of laser cut lace-up heels and a gorgeous Saint Laurent Du jour sac bag. We ended the day with brunch upstairs at Fred’s, chatting and laughing. Scout more of our shopping adventure over at The Window and tell us how you’re going to spend your Mother’s day!
