A Father’s Day Gift
It’s almost father’s day and I try and make it a tradition for Scout to create and give dad a present from the heart. We teamed up with HP to get creative and show you what we’re gifting the special guy in our lives using our new HP Envy 5660, great for wireless printing!
LS and I are constantly bonding through city scouting and fashion and thought it would be nice to do it with dad as well. We created a paper fashion doll that we quickly named, “Fashion Daddy” and figured his name was very fitting.
We decided to dress him up and take him to all the places that LS wanted to take her real dad. We later put all the photos in a homemade book leaving room for blank pages to add the reenactment of each scene when she goes with her dad.
What You Need
Sticky-backed photo sheets
We started out by printing out a few paper dolls and fashionable outfits that we can dress fashion daddy in. I cut each piece with an X-acto knife since the images were so small.
We layered the doll together using a glue stick to hold each piece together and finished the doll by placing a popsicle stick in the back.
After taking photos we printed a few photos from our HP social media snapshots app on to sticky-backed photo sheets. I can’t lie, I’m a little obsessed with these photo sheets since they are so easy to design and print.
For the cover of the book and the remainder of the pages, we designed it on the HP photo creations software which is easily downloadable from the web.
Don’t forget to add the date and place in your book so it’s a little bit more memorable in the future.
