Family Travel

It’s that time of year when our family goes on vacation. This year we decided to Scout Europe for thirty days straight which means I have a lot of packing to do!

I always find myself scrambling to purchase last minute essentials before we leave which is why I teamed up with American Express Blue Cash preferred to dish on some must have items to purchase and pack abroad.

As a BCP card holder not only am I saving big in grocery stories with 6% back but I also gain cash back on everyday purchases which adds up when you’re purchasing diapers as much as I am. This is my favorite Amex card due to the variety of perks  that it provides and, of course, the security and protection that comes with all Amex cards. It definitely is the only card to add epic to your everyday.

For my trip, I decided to pack extremely light by only bringing essentials I stopped by my local CVS to grab toiletries, diapers, and soap for the baby. I also purchased laundry detergent pods that are plant based to wash Rio’s clothes. I packed a total of 12 pieces of clothing each for the entire family and plan on doing a lot of mixing and matching on the trip. I also packed light on the diapers since they take up so much space. You can always purchase diapers from the local stores in Europe.

I purchased new luggage which I also received cash back on and I added drawer organizers on the inside to organize the kid’s items (these are a life saver). Since I packed three hours before going to the airport I made sure to pack light, grab my Blue Cash Preferred card and head to the airport. If I forgot anything, it’s not an issue as I can always purchase it overseas. What are some of your favorite essentials to pack?
