As a working mom of two, it’s rare to find a patch of white space on my calendar. Between taking London to ballet practices, nursing Rio, and finding time to shoot content for the site, my weeks are a precarious balance of mom errands and blogger tasks. So when I have the chance to take a timeout with my girlfriends, I have to jump on it. This week, my friend Angie and I carved out some time to be “moms-off-duty” and sneak away for a girls’ dinner. You can only change so many diapers before you need a cocktail, am I right ladies?
We chose to request a ride with uberX for an affordable, stress-free way to get from point A to point B and it didn’t hurt that we got an upgrade to an UberXL. One of my favorite parts of riding with Uber is the Split Fare feature. It allows you to automatically divide the price of your ride with your co-travelers without having to whip out a calculator or set a reminder for an I.O.U. Thanks to Uber’s Split Fare option, we got to focus on girl talk and entrees instead of worrying about whose turn it was to foot the bill. We have enough on our plates as it is so for the next two hours, we only wanted to think about our dinner plates.
Life is chaotic enough. Convenient features like Uber’s Split Fare help keep the fun moments, such as a dinner with your gal pals, fabulously fuss-free. Be sure to download the Uber app and check out the Split Fare feature so you can forget the financial logistics. The only question you’ll have to worry about is #WhereTo?
