When it comes to beauty, there is nothing quite as important to me as showing my skin some love. With a 5-month old, it can be tricky to get enough sleep, which naturally takes a toll on my dry skin. Add that to the fact that I live in New York City, where you find more taxis than trees (hello, pollution!), and you’ve got a full-fledged case for the importance of skincare.
One way I take care of my skin is through a healthy, balanced diet. I’m conscious of what I consume because what you put into your body is just as important as the products you put on it. Eating well and drinking enough water is a priority, but I also take measures to devote the proper care to my face through my skincare regimen.
I’ve gotten hooked on Vichy products, which make taking care of my skin not only easy but also fun! Vichy, born and named after the town of Vichy, France, is the #1 anti-aging brand in European pharmacies. Apparently, chic French women have known about this for years, and I wonder if they were trying to keep this French beauty buy on the down low. Now that I’m in on their beauty secret, I’m going to share my daily skin care regimen with you too because every woman deserves to feel great in her skin.
- Pureté Thermale Cleansing Micellar Oil – As a mom of two, I’m usually running short on time. Anything I can do to speed up my routine, while not sacrificing any steps is a win all around. I use Vichy’s Micellar Oil to cleanse my skin and remove makeup in one step. It’s paraben free, suitable for sensitive skin, and safe to use around your eyes. It leaves my skin feeling clean, soft, and moisturized.
- Aqualia Thermal Hydrating Water – Next, I use a cotton pad to apply Vichy’s Hydrating Water, which is very similar to an essence. It’s refreshing, super hydrating, and leaves my skin feeling cleansed and primped for my face serum.
- Mineral 89 – This lightweight product can be used as a stand-alone face moisturizer, or as a serum in your skincare routine. It is formulated with Hyaluronic Acid (which hydrates and plumps the skin) and the highest concentration of Vichy’s Mineralizing Thermal Water (which helps combat skin stressors like pollution and fatigue). Yep, sign me up for that! I love Mineral 89 because it’s lightweight and hydrating all at once. Another thing I love about this product is the fact that you can mix it with your liquid foundation to get the hydration you need without sacrificing coverage! Mineral 89 is 100% transparent, non-greasy and non-oily, so it won’t affect the color or finish of your liquid foundation.
4. Vichy’s Mineralizing Thermal Water – While Mineral 89 is 89% of this Mineralizing Thermal Water, I like to keep this on hand. Pollution can affect your skin in a number of different ways, from causing dry, dehydrated skin, dull skin tone and skin aging like wrinkles. This hydrating and fortifying thermal water makes skin more resistant to pollution and irritation. It’s also a lifesaver, especially when you start to zone out and need a little boost. It comes in a travel size that you can throw in your purse and spritz on throughout the day for a refreshing effect.
That’s it for my French beauty routine to combat pollution and dry skin! If you’re interested in trying out some Vichy skincare products, you can use the promo code “SAI” at checkout on vichyusa.com now through December 31!
Thanks for reading up on my skincare regimen with Vichy! You only get one skin in this life. Make sure you schedule some time to take care of it every day.
