This post was sponsored by CVS, but all opinions are 100% my own.
When you think of a drugstore, you probably think of picking up prescription refills and grabbing a couple of household basics here and there. But just like fast fashion brands are delivering the look for less, so are drugstore beauty aisles. And I’m digging it. You don’t have to make a dent in your bank account to try out the latest makeup trends. You can walk a few blocks down to your local CVS Pharmacy, or shop online, and snag all of the products you’ve been eyeing to pull off a flawlessly made-up face.
I partnered with CVS Pharmacy for a drugstore beauty haul so you can see which products I’m gifting to my friends (and myself) this winter. I was so excited by the amount of brands and products I had to choose from! They have everything from traditional big-name beauty brands to international brands, K-beauty, and exclusive CVS Pharmacy goods as well. Honestly, I would go so far as to say that the store has transformed into a beauty destination! I’ve been in a giddy holiday mood so I decided to get a handful of goodies I could slip into stockings for upcoming parties. I have a lot of friends who are really into beauty. We love dishing on our current product obsessions and swapping tips when we get together so I realized that my favorite beauty buys would make the perfect stocking stuffers. Check out five products I snagged for a holiday beauty spin.
This is a great stocking stuffer for any girl who likes a full lash look! This mascara has a curved wand, which helps curl your lashes while also lifting and separating. Caution: this mascara might cause you to be asked repeatedly by relatives where you got your false lashes. You can just wink at them.
Every beauty babe knows that switching up your eyeshadow color can totally transform your look. During the holidays, it’s fun to add a little shimmer and experiment with warm neutrals and plush pink shades. You can pair the lighter pinks for ice skating with the kids and add the deep eggplant color to the corner crease of your eyes for the Christmas cocktail party.
A dark berry lip is one of my favorite trends this season so I had to pick up a new shade for myself and my friends to try. At first, I shied away from anything too dark, but once I eased into it I was vibing with the darker colors. This deep purple shade is definitely bold, but the matte shade makes it sophisticated as well. You can wear this lip color with a glittery party dress or even swipe it on to jazz up a sweater and over the knee boots.
I’ve gotten to the point where I feel naked without my nails done, but realistically nobody has time to match their nail color to each outfit. This Sally Hansen polish is a great option especially if you like to add a little shimmer to your ensembles during the holidays. It reads like a neutral while adding some sparkle, and you can get the gel nail effect from home. Perfect for fabulous friends with full schedules! It’s a two step process so be sure to snag the top coat as well, and it should last for up to two weeks of wear.
If you’re constantly on your feet, running from point A to point B, you need this in your life. The Perfect Pedi kit comes with a foot brush, sponge, and callus softener so that you can basically give yourself an at-home pedicure and leave your feet feeling soft. This makes a great gift for your friends who deserve to pamper themselves this holiday season.
Hope you enjoyed reading about my drugstore beauty picks! Be sure to check out all of the beauty products you can find at CVS, and maybe slip a few into your friends’ stockings to spread the joy.
