My New York Fashion Week Lookbook

Us New Yorkers walk fast, talk fast, eat fast, and live fast, but even I was rushing to keep up with the whirlwind pace of New York Fashion Week. NYFW was a string of glamorous shows, events, and presentations that had me doing rapid fire outfit changes and speeding from Brooklyn to Midtown to Chelsea and back. It’s hard to jog in heels and it sure isn’t easy to put tights on in the back of a trunk, but for the love of fashion and you guys, I did both.

You’ve probably seen sneak peaks of my FW get-ups on my Instagram, but I wanted to compile them in one place as a sort of digital lookbook for you guys. You just can’t beat street style during NYFW because everyone steps out looking more like they’re artwork than on their way to work. The wilder, flashier, and more dramatic, the better. Style watching on the streets and the subway gets even juicier, and of course, it’s more exciting if you take part. I had a ball getting dressed up and taking mental notes of trends to expect next fall. But now I’m short a few winks of sleep, my sweatpants are persistently calling my name, and I’m not fighting the urge to wave the white flag on my outfit today. Sweatpants win this week because last week, I gave it all I had. I think I did my part to nix the whole “dress to blend in” bull in favor of making some waves. But hey, I’ll leave it up to you guys to decide. Which look was your favorite?
