6 Curly Hair Conditioners You Need Now

6 curly hair products you need now

This post has been updated & republished due to popularity

Curly hair is not easy! Finding the right product is almost like finding a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. That means you spend tons of money on products that will sit on your shelf and collect dust. I wanted to introduce you to 6 curly hair conditioners that will leave your hair hydrated and replenished!

I find it extremely difficult to stumble upon moisturizing shampoo with no chemicals. Most of them won’t lather leaving you feeling as if they aren’t cleaning which is why the next hair post will be about moisturizing shampoo. Today, I put together a short list of products that are currently on our shelves and we’re putting them to the test for you. We have curly hair type 3c which resembles tight corkscrews and are the same size of a pencil. We have more volume in our hair which makes it easier to get that big afro look. The hair is fine in texture but the curls are packed tightly together on the head. I will go into depth about all types of curly hair in another post. If you have similar hair, then some of these products might be ideal for you.

Art Naturals, Argan Oil Hair Mask: 100% natural argan oil  moisturizing for damaged and dry Hair. This product contains argan oil, jojoba oil, green tea, sage, aloe vera and leaves your hair feeling beyond silky!

Kinky-Curly Knot Today Leave In Conditioner/Detangler: I use this everyday! This leaves our curls soft, bouncy and tamed. I highly recommend this product.

Alba Botanica Hawaiian, Coconut Milk Conditioner: I found this product in my girlfriend’s shower and really love it! Scout’s hair is a bit softer than mine so I find that this conditioner is great after shampooing because it’s thick and hydrating.

Ouidad Melt Down Extreme Repair Mask: We just purchased this product and are testing it out. So far I feel as if the conditioner is literally melting the knots away. I will keep you posted on this product but so far, so good!

It’s A 10 Miracle Leave In Product: This product is a leave in spray which I usually do not like but this works wonders especially when I blow out my curls.

Shea Moisture Curl & Shine Conditioner Coconut & Hibiscus: I tried Shea moisture once and was really disappointed. However I heard so many great things about this particular conditioner and decided to give it a try. I found it to work great on Scout’s hair which left her hair frizz-free and moisturized.

That’s my list for today and we will continue to test out products for you throughout the year. Drop us a comment below and let us know if you ever used these products.

    Hi Sai,
Thank you so much for this post. My daughter is mixed race and has 3c hair very similar to Ls. I can’t remember how I stumbled up on your blog, but I’m so glad I did. I love the fashion, the hair tips, but most of all seeing you two together and the love you share. It’s beautiful!
A few months back you recommended Multicultural Curls, and I have been using it on my daughter’s hair ever since. I love it so much! I used Mixed Chicks kids leave-in conditioner for a long time, and it’s still a good one, but her hair needed a change.
I also just watched your first YouTube video. You did a wonderful job! I love how quirky and spontaneous it was with Ls. I’m so excited to see what else you guys come up with. Obviously I’m hoping for lots of hair tutorials 🙂
All the best to you and your precious little one.
