How is it possible to become a hot mom when you’re always tired? Let’s face it, raising a little human is exhausting! Although I document a well dressed kid on social media I have to admit, I am usually not put together as well, sometimes I’m a hot mess. Once you become a mom you have days where you wear workout clothes all day but never step foot into a gym. How about when you reach for the same sweatpants at least 3 times a week (knock it off). This behavior means your letting yourself go and you need to snap out of it! I have outlined five simple tips that helped me bring sexy back.
I don’t usually wear a lot of makeup unless it’s date night. I tend to op for a very good concealer, tinted moisturizer, mascara and lip balm. If I’m really feeling myself I will add light bronzer or blush. I like the natural dewy look and there’s nothing better than feeling confident about your appearance. You don’t have to wear frumpy mom jeans because you’re someone’s parent. If you’re not a big makeup fan then try a little tinted moisturizer and lip balm/gloss to start your day. It’s very easy to use and gives you an instant glow. Below are some of my daily go to products:

Hit The Gym
After having Scout I could never maintain a daily gym regimen which in turn left me feeling sluggish and out of shape. I wanted to look like a fit Adrianna Lima running on the beach with my family but how do I start? I get so bored of gym routines and committing to a gym was not my thing! I stumbled across Class Pass and fell in love! This pass makes going to the gym fun with no real commitment to one particular gym. You can try any gym they have on their list for only $99 a month. That includes barry’s bootcamp, Flywheel, Rock Climbing, ariel yoga, etc… (sounds fun right?)
If you don’t have time then bring your kiddie with you! Research your local gyms that have daycare services inside the gym. Expect to pay about $12 for two hours. Try Equinox in New York if this is your city. The first three weeks of working out is always tough but once you get past the hump then it naturally becomes routine. Not only will working out make you feel better but you will gain energy to keep up with your tots. If you need quick gym inspiration then purchase new workout clothes! Vitamins and Diet
Your diet counts mom! If you’re loading your system full of processed food then you’re most likely going to fade quickly! Let’s put it like this: If you filled your car up with mud instead of gas, what would happen? You would get nowhere! Think of your body the same way, it needs fuel to sustain it’s self. Start with vitamins that are plant derived and not synthetically made. Synthetic vitamins are a waste of money and are terrible for our bodies. Try using Floradix liquid Multivitamin for adults and kinder love for children. These vitamins are great for picky eaters and help us tremendously.
Cut out the processed foods please! My rule of thumb is if a package has more than 5 ingredients then don’t buy it. If it contains words that I can not pronounce I definitely don’t buy it and most importantly, I stay away from everything that is genetically modified. I look for products that are stamped with the “Non GMO” label.

Being a hot mom is all about confidence! There is nothing better than seeing a confident woman strut down the street, you’re immediately drawn to her. So let’s throw away the mom jeans (unless you want to distress them) and put away the sweatpants. Let’s try a chic look that is comfortable for weekends with the kids but stylish enough for brunch with your girlfriends. Try distressed denim or boyfriend jeans paired with chunky knit sweaters to give that effortless look. Throw on shades and a top knot to bring it all together. Make Time For Yourself
This is easier said than done! If you don’t make time for yourself then you will go nuts. Scout is a very late sleeper and will usually wake at 9am which gives me a couple of hours to start my day alone. I love to write when I first wake since my mind is fresh. If your child wakes up too early then attempt to arrange for someone to watch your little one for at least 2-3 hours so you can relax, read, Instagram stalk or whatever you like to do for fun. If you’re very good friends with your neighbor and their kids then do a kid swap for a couple of hours. No baby sitting fees and you don’t have to go far. We watch each others kids in my building all the time but please make sure it’s someone you trust.
These few simple steps will have you feeling like one hot mom in no time!
