Gold Rush

gold rush

Metallic colors are my latest obsession and I had a serious gold rush when I laid eyes on Scout’s super soft metallic jacket designed by CHaLK NYC. As you know, we’re huge advocates of this brand and when looking at the quality of their collection, you will see why! It’s finally spring but still extremely chilly outside. I wanted to give you guys a couple of  ideas on how to layer up but still sport your lighter colors to brighten your day and embrace the new season. I stuck to a chunky knit sweater and wool vest by Augden, who creates handmade garments fabricated by artisans in Bolivia. Their pieces are truly a work of art! I added a pop of white by pairing white jeans to break up the darker fall hues.

Scout sported a city girl look which reminded me of Carrie Bradshaw (didn’t we all love her?). She pranced around the city in this floor length tutu and butter soft leather jacket. We literally could not walk one block without someone asking us about her outfit. I secretly wish I could borrow the whole look but only her peers can fit into these tiny pieces of perfection.

Usually when we get dressed, we end up in the same colors unintentionally. I decided that I should stick with this routine for today’s post. There’s nothing wrong with twinning it every now and then but I much prefer us to individually pick an outfit that relates to our mood and personality. Hope you get inspired to rock it out with your mini and thanks for stopping by!

XO,

LS and Mommy
