Layering Season

It’s layering season and of course my absolute favorite time of year. Something about fall puts a smile on my face. I’m not sure if it’s the crisp weather, pumpkin spice lattes or all of the great fashion but It’s something I look forward to every year. When we were scouting the streets of Montreal we had to layer up since the temperature was a little colder than NY. I found an adorable plaid sweater and Vince wool coat from James Boutique in Westmount. I layered the sweater by placing a striped button down underneath and adding the Vince drape coat on top. I brought the outfit together by wrapping my vintage Chanel waist bag around the coat for a chic on-the-go look.

As you know, Utility jumpsuits are seriously trending right now which translates perfectly into Children’s fashion. Scout went with Aviator overalls from Minou Kids. Some of you know that MK is one of my favorite online stores to order from, with pieces starting from baby to 6 years old.  They personally handpick each item for their online shop which fits our aesthetic perfectly. I have been raving about this boutique since we launched the blog! If you’re interested in unique fall pieces then check them out especially because they’re having a #BackToFall contest. We added a red scarf which she refused to tie. Apparently Scout had her own agenda for how she wanted to style her overalls. We finished the look with fringe sneakers and layered a long sleeve top underneath to keep her cozy. The look is functional and comfortable for any trendy kid. Get inspired by our mommy and me look of the day and thanks for stopping by!
