Bubblegum Pink

BubbleGum Pink

We took a trip to LA to visit family and friends during the Thanksgiving break and I can’t believe how warm it is! It cooled off at night but compared to New York, it felt like a nice fall day. The weather was perfect for shooting so we took full advantage in between playdates and mom off duty nights.

We had a chance to visit our friends over at Laer and snagged some amazing jackets that fit like a glove. I was beyond excited that our jackets were the same style and color. I styled a bubble gum pink leather coat with a pair of black and white striped culottes from UVK for Scout. She accessorized herself with a pair of mirrored sunnies that give her an instant cool girl look.

I went with a pair of flare overalls from Madewell that I’m currently obsessing over. I threw on a striped shirt to coordinate with LS but still allowed the solid pink jacket to stand out. I played with the prints by adding a touch of leopard on my shoes. I won’t lie, I have a serious obsession with leopard print and if you’re feeling bold and confident, you can pair it with almost anything!

Here are a few small tips for wearing stripes

  • Treat stripes as a neutral in the pattern world
  • Pair with solid colors
  • Accessorize stripes with solid accessories
  • Pair denim with horizontal stripes for a slimming effect

We hope you love today’s look as much as we do!

XO,

LS and Sai
