Scout Key West With The Marker Resort

Key West, Florida

We had a chance to fly down south to Key West for a quick mother daughter trip and wanted to share we what we scouted. We stayed at The Marker Resort, which is centrally located and a 9-minute walk from Mallory Square.

This tropical-inspired luxury hotel is bright and airy which is perfect for anyone who loves that free spirit modern vibe. The rooms offer private balconies, bike rentals and 3 outdoor pools.

Their relaxed restaurant serves a fusion of Californian and Mexican bites and they offer a few great vegetarian options as well. The bright sun and fresh sea air-filled our room each morning as we enjoyed breakfast from the balcony.

I was impressed by the location and the amenities at the resort along with the cheery disposition of the staff.

I mapped out a few activities that we experienced which were all walking distance from the hotel and extremely manageable if you have small children.

We took a few inspirational photos along with some moments of our Key West adventure. Drop us a note down below if we missed anything and thanks for stopping by!

Key Lime Pie

Key west is known for amazing key lime pie and I literally was on the hunt for it! I prefer my pie to have a little more tang so our concierge at the Marker gave us a map and sent us on our way. Here are three of our favorite places.

Sunset Cruise

This cruise was literally steps away from the Marker making it easy for us to get to the boat by departure time. It’s a two hour boat ride where you get to watch the sunset, listen to live music and enjoy cocktails.

My only suggestion is that you bring a sweater since it can become chilly after the sun sets.

Aquarium: The aquarium was a perfect size and not tom overwhelming. They host several shows per day and allow you to feed the nurse sharks which LS loved.

Shipwreck Museum: This museum was very interesting. They have a rehearsed routine to show you around the museum but I did learn a few interesting facts and LS got a kick out of finding treasure and learning about pirates. This is something I thing the kids would like more than the adults but luckily its directly across from the aquarium!

Butterfly Conservatory: This place was gorgeous! If you added us on snapchat then you might remember how much I freaked out when I saw flamingos mixed in with these gorgeous butterflies! It’s definitely a must when visiting Key West

Wanderlust Boutique
This boutique carries pieces for both mini and mom. They have a mixture of local brands as well as the know pieces love.

The store is located on an adorable street filled with pastel colors.
