Accent The Bump

Dressing The Bump

It’s true, I didn’t wear many maternity pieces this pregnancy. I’m not sure if it’s because I could still fit my regular clothes for a while or if it was because I was too cheap to buy anything. Whatever the reason, I ended up buying only a couple of maternity pieces towards the end of my pregnancy because I can’t fit anything that is not a dress and I just want to be comfortable.

Today I wanted to chat a little about how I dressed the bump my second time around. As my belly grew I began to feel less sexy about myself because of all the changes that I was going through. I had to pull myself together and realize that this should be one of the most beautiful times of my life. We all should embrace our bodies during pregnancy and make it a beautiful and memorable moment as it’s only for a short time in our lives.

I have long legs and like to accent them by wearing high heels. I have always had a love for high shoes and fortunately my feet did not grow or swell so I’m rocking them every chance I get! To be honest, my lower back hurts more when I wear flat sandals then in heels, odd right?

Since I think that my legs are my best assests, I like to highlight them by wearing above the knee dresses. There’s always a dress that hugs the belly perfectly and can make you feel comfortable during this time of change. I have been asked several times about how I carry my pregnancy the way I do but to be honest, It’s all about how you feel about yourself. Confidence is beautiful, and you should own it every chance you get! If you love your arms, legs, belly then flaunt it girl. You’re only pregnant for a few short months so make it memorable.
