Baby Shower Sprinkle

I was very fortunate to put together a last-minute baby sprinkle at my favorite French restaurant, Ladurée. The decor is always so whimsical and fit for anyone who loves pastels and pastries. I decided to put together an early breakfast during the week and invite 12 of my girlfriends. I didn’t want to make a big fuss about it, nor did I want anyone to go out of their way to attend the occasion. The breakfast worked out perfectly and the room was filled with smiles and love. Each seat was accented with a decorated baby box of macaroons and cushioned with faux fur. We sat in the winter garden and Laduree kept everyone cozy with heat lamps and warm beverages of their choice.

As I sat in the middle of the table surrounded by such amazing woman I couldn’t help but think of how lucky I was. Not only for celebrating the little life I was growing in my tummy but for knowing that every girl in the room had my back no matter what. It was the highlight of my week and I’m beyond thrilled to share these happy moments with you.

I decided not to create a registry this year and instead I wanted my friends and family to donate to a charity that my cousin and I are raising money for. She found a small school in Thailand during her travels that is covered in black mold which is extremely toxic for children. We would like to raise money to clean up the school and upon completion of raising funds, the school has graciously offered to dedicate one of the classrooms in memory of our grandmother, Luz Maria De Silva, who recently passed away. Our grandmother was an English language learner herself and valued education. She was also kind and generous and would have wanted to help.

If you’re interested in helping our cause, please donate here. Every dollar counts towards helping these children.

Thank you Laduree for surprising me with your amazing macaroons and cake. This was a rose flavored macaroon cake filled with fresh fruit that was beyond amazing!

Special thank you to Ladurée for creating such a gorgeous and memorable event.

I love your pics. I haven’t started a family yet but I always said when I do, I will have my baby shower at ladurée because I so love pastry and everything Parisian …well French. Strangely so because I am a tropical baby from the islands. Anyhew, happy and safe arrival for your little guy. Love your blog and insta-page. Peace and love !
