Hair Products For Curly Hair

Hair Products For Curly Hair

It’s no secret that it’s incredibly hard to find great products that will maintain your curly locks. I have literally tried over 100 products and I’m always on the hunt to find more. I have to change my hair products frequently since my hair becomes accustom to one product and will refuse to cooperate. London and I have type 3c hair and we usually share hair essentials since she’s out of the baby phase. I wanted to do a quick post highlighting our most used products sitting on our shelves this month.

Ouidad

Ouidad has been giving me life this month. I stumbled upon their new climate control line and fell in love. I typically stay away from gels but this particular product is great! I start with the shampoo and conditioner and finish with the humidity gel and detangling heat spray. I always diffuse my hair dry so the heat protecting spray is great for shielding my hair from the heat and leaving me with frizz-free curls.

Kinky-Curly

Kinky Curly is a long time favorite. I always use the “Knot Today” on Scout’s hair as it detangles very easily. I just discovered their perfectly polished hair oil which is great for adding shine to dull curls. This polish is very thick so a little will go a long way.

Miss Jessie’s

Miss Jessie’s Pillow Soft Curls is a long time favorite of mine. It holds my curls all day and gives them a beautiful bounce. I also use this product on Scout’s hair but will alternate with “Multicultrial Curls” on her hair as well. The only thing I dislike about this product is the fragrance. My nose is very sensitive and removing the artificial smell would make this product ideal.

What do you recommend for biracial curls during the “baby phase”? I haven’t had to go beyond coconut oil for my son since his hair is short but I had a girl three months ago and I want to help her maintain her natural hair as she grows but don’t know where to start since my hair isn’t curly!
